Things they have in common

1) Princesses with overprotective "parent" figure
2) Save their man from drowning
3) Both have their first "romantic" up close meeting with their man when he's unconscious, yet it doesn't include a kiss!
4) Most princesses can sing, we all know that, but these two Disney princesses have a special reason, ariel being the most beautiful voice (cus mermaids have a thing for singing) plus it makes the prince fall for her in the first place.
And Rapunzel with her magic hair song! XD the others just sing.
5) Both get dolled up and have a day in town (their first day in town) with their man.
6) Their day in town ends with a romantic boat ride in which they ALMOST kiss but it's ruined by twin minions! (The twins and flotsam and jetsam!)
7)Their "prince" comes to her rescue after losing her
8) The end scene is rather reminiscent of both couple's "first meeting" on the beach and in the tower with the prince unconscious to some degree

9) Oh yeah, they DO pretty much have the same character design, by Glen Keane (if you remove the hair and give them the same clothes and colors they are virtually the same with a few minor differences)

12) Personalities are bubbly! And they are both very curious. Plus they both are pretty funny! A lot of the other princesses are just beautiful and kind but these two have their own comedy, and don't leave it all to the comic relief characters!
13) Both are led somehow to their prince/guy & their destiny by lights in the sky! (Ariel sees the fireworks and Rapunzel
sees the floating lanterns)
14)notable or magical singing powers (all princesses do, but mostly aurora, ariel, and rapunzel have been noted for singing instead of just doing it)
